ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Paris, Strong-Cuevas lives and works in New York, where she studied under John Hovannes at the Art Students League of New York and worked on projects with Toto Meylan. Two books have been published by Abrams on the work of Strong-Cuevas, Strong-Cuevas Drawings: Ideas on Paper (2018) and Strong-Cuevas Sculpture: Premonitions in Retrospect (2015). A third book, Strong-Cuevas Heads, was released in 2020 and documents the process of creating the artist's large-scale sculpture series, Heads I-V.
