ABOUT THE ARTIST
María Isabel de Lince is a Colombian artist known for her abstract oil paintings that reflect a deep understanding of the human psyche and of the natural world. Her abstractions of land-, sea-, and skyscapes, inspired by the biodiversity of her native Colombia, illustrate her mastery of color and light while drawing the viewer into a meditation on the beauty and complexity of the world and of the self.
Lince studied under the instruction of Colombian Masters Miguel Moyano, Fernando Dávila, and David Manzur, two-time winner of the Guggenheim Fellowship. Her work is collected internationally and has been exhibited in dozens of gallery and museum exhibitions throughout Colombia as well as in Austria, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
