JUAN BERNAL

BIOGRAPHY

Juan Bernal is a renowned Colombian artist best known for his portrayals of nature. His work belongs to a number of museum collections in the United States and Colombia and has appeared in more than 50 group exhibitions and 25 solo shows across the United States, China, France, Japan, Mexico, Ecuador, Spain and Colombia. Among other special projects, Bernal has completed works commissioned by the Governor's Mansion in Bogota, the Colombian Consulate in New York and the Commission on the Arts and Humanities in Washington, DC.  He received his degree in architecture from Javeriana University in Bogota and has trained in painting, drawing, etching, and glass work with masters such as Glenn Echo, Fernando Villar, and Camila Paez.
