Madalena Negrone Solo Exhibition Opens June 1 at the Museum of Art and Science in Milan
The exhibition will feature a selection of Negrone’s latest oil paintings, curated by Leonard Tourné Gallery. An NFT created in collaboration with renowned composer Alberto Bof will be launched at the opening reception.
MILAN, Italy — June 2023: The Museum of Art and Science and Leonard Tourné Gallery are pleased to present a solo exhibition of works by Madalena Negrone. The exhibition will open at Milan’s Museum of Art and Science with a reception on June 1, 2023 and will run through June 8, 2023.
Negrone’s body of work combines science, energy, movement, rhythm, and metaphysics to visually communicate the complications of existence. Born and raised in Genoa, Negrone studied under the tutelage of Gabriele Kutzke, a German-born painter and sculptor based in Genoa. Under the representation of Leonard Tourné Gallery, her work has been collected worldwide and exhibited in New York and internationally at galleries and art fairs.
Negrone’s current series, "Entangled," reveals the artist’s fascination with quantum physics, the contours of her compositions at times seeming to depict the movements of particles through space and time.
During the opening reception on June 1, a multimedia NFT created by Negrone in collaboration with the world-renowned songwriter Alberto Bof will be unveiled to the public.
Bof — who has collaborated with producers such as Quincy Jones, musicians including Aerosmith, the world-famous influencer Chiara Ferragni, and a wide range of film directors from Brad Forman to Tom Sizemore — is perhaps best known for his collaboration and performance in the Oscar-, Bafta-, Golden Globe-, and Grammy-winning motion picture, A Star Is Born. Together with Lukas Nelson + Promise of the Real, Bof is one of the arrangers of “Shallow,” featuring Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson, the world’s most awarded song in history and one of the most streamed songs on Spotify.
Inspired by Negrone’s “Entangled” series, Bof has composed a piano score which will accompany digitized imagery and video of Negrone’s paintings. Bof will perform the score live on a Zanta piano at the Museum of Art and Science. After the launch, the NFT will be available on SwopX, a modern marketplace that utilizes artificial intelligence to support users in buying, selling, and swapping NFTs and other artwork.
